General Assessment Questions

  • We specialize in comprehensive psychological, neuropsychological, and psychoeducational evaluations for:

    • ADHD

    • Autism spectrum concerns

    • Learning disabilities (dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia)

    • Gifted and twice‑exceptional (2e) profiles

    • Anxiety, depression, mood disorders

    • Behavioral and emotional difficulties

    • Executive functioning challenges

    • School‑related concerns

  • We evaluate children, adolescents, and young adults, including college students.

  • Our evaluations are:

    • Comprehensive: Assessing cognitive, academic, emotional, and neuropsychological functioning.

    • Strengths‑based: Highlighting abilities, not just challenges.

    • Evidence‑based: Using gold‑standard, research‑supported measures.

    • Practical & actionable: Clear, tailored recommendations you can implement at home and school.

    • Child‑centered: Designed to be engaging, supportive, and developmentally appropriate.

We specialize exclusively in assessment, allowing for a deeper, more precise diagnostic process.

  • A full evaluation involves:

    1. Clinical Intake (1–1.5 hours): Reviewing developmental history, concerns, and goals.

    2. Testing Sessions (9–12 hours): Typically three morning sessions to ensure accuracy and reduce fatigue.

    3. Rating Scales: Completed by parents, teachers, and—when appropriate—your child.

    4. Record Review: Prior assessments, school reports, medical or therapy notes.

    5. Scoring & Analysis: Detailed interpretation of cognitive, academic, and emotional data.

    6. Feedback Session (1–1.5 hours): Reviewing results, diagnoses (if applicable), and recommendations.

    7. Comprehensive Report: Clear, detailed, and actionable.

Total turnaround time is typically 6–8 weeks from intake to final report.

Payment, Billing & Insurance

  • We offer transparent, all‑inclusive flat fees for psychological and neuropsychological assessments, so you know the exact cost upfront with no hidden charges. Fees vary based on case complexity and the type of evaluation (ADHD assessment, autism evaluation, learning disability testing, etc.). A full estimate is provided during your free consultation.

  • We are an out‑of‑network (OON) provider and do not bill insurance directly. This allows us to offer comprehensive, evidence‑based evaluations without the limitations imposed by insurance companies.

Many PPO plans reimburse a portion of out‑of‑network services. We provide a detailed superbill to support reimbursement.

  • We make the process simple:

    1. You Pay: Full assessment fee at the time of service.

    2. We Provide a Superbill: Includes all required diagnosis and procedure codes.

    3. You Submit: Upload the superbill through your insurance company’s member portal.

    4. You Get Reimbursed: Your insurance sends reimbursement directly to you.

  • Call the number on your insurance card and ask:

    • “Do I have out‑of‑network benefits for outpatient mental‑health services?”

    • “What is my OON deductible, and how much has been met?”

    • “What percentage of the fee will be reimbursed after the deductible?”

    • “How do I submit a superbill for reimbursement?”

  • Our goal is to make the payment process clear and manageable. We charge:

    • $500 deposit to reserve your intake appointment (applied toward the total fee).

    • 50% of the remaining balance due at the intake session.

    • Final 50% due at the feedback session.

For Parents: Your Child’s Experience

  • Keep it simple, positive, and pressure‑free:

“We’re going to meet someone who helps kids understand how their brains learn and solve problems. You’ll do activities and puzzles so we can learn how to make school and home easier for you. You can’t fail—just try your best.”

  • Our approach is strengths‑based and empowering. Many children feel relieved to understand the reason behind their challenges.

We’ll help you decide whether, how, and when to share diagnostic information with your child—and provide guidance on exactly what to say.

  • Absolutely. Parents are key partners. You will:

    • Participate in the initial intake

    • Complete rating scales

    • Attend the full feedback session

    • Receive ongoing guidance and support

  • Most children enjoy the one‑on‑one, interactive activities. We take breaks as needed and tailor the experience to your child’s pace.
